
Established by Captain Ingolf Nielsen on the 1st of August 1950, Cimber Air started operation on the same year and is based in Sønderborg, Denmark. In May 1998,
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS)
bought 26 percent of Cimber Air and expanded its codeshare agreement. SAS sold it's share back to Cimber Air Holding, owned by the Nielsen Family.
It's internation
destinations are: Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden and Switzerland and co-operates with SAS in it's schedules domestic flights. Cimber air's main bases are are Copenhagen Airport and Sønderborg Airport.
