One of my favorite hobbies is collecting
sweet food recipes from all over the world, specifically those
European countries. When I bake and eat their different types of cooking, it makes me feel that I have traveled the world when I am able to taste the dishes they cook in their countries. The most recent recipe I made is from Finland and it is the Finnish Almond Brittle.
To be able to bake this delicious food, the ingredients you need are:
-Basic dough
-One teaspoon of almond extract, the holiday frosting
-Two cups of confection sugar
-One teaspoon of liquid vanilla
-One-and-a-half to two teaspoons of milk
-A few drops of food coloring
-One-third cup of
almond nuts, finely blanched
Now that you have gathered all of these, the first thing you should do is add the almond extract to your dough and allow it to chill for a minimum of two hours. While waiting for it to cool, heat your oven with a temperature of 375 degrees. Then, get the dough and roll it until it is one-fourth inches thick. Put it on a board covered with cloth and cut it into strips. The measurement should be at least two-and-a-half by three-fourths inches. The next step is to bake it from ten minutes on a baking sheet that has no grease.
While waiting for it to cook, mix the remaining ingredients vanilla, sugar, milk, and food color. You will use this as the frosting of the bread. When the bread has been cooked, sprinkle the almonds on top and serve.
