Many travelers say that Norway's Grunerlokka is home to those who are both bohemian or creative. Located in Oslo's Greenwich Village, the place is a charming and exciting tourist destination in Norway. Before, Grunerlokka was an unattractive and worn down area of Oslo. Now, the place is transformed into one trendy and multicultural area. Though, the place is not known to many, Grunerlokka is a perfect destination for witty trend setters and young artists.

Grunerlokka is noted for being the prime fashion region in Oslo, mainly because of its numerous shopping and leisure destinations. Fashionistas out there should also know that the internationally acclaimed Norway design institution, Norway Says, maintains a shop and office at Grunerlokka. If you are looking for fashionable accessories and jewelries, the DayDreams and Pearls shop at Grunerlokka is the perfect place for you to shop.

Finland is not only world renowned for Nokia cellular phones. It's also a favorite fly fishing and ice fishing destination among European anglers. The country's surrounded by clear, pure and clean lakes swarming with divers fishes. If one endeavors following the tracks of the rivers, he'll end up walking through the rich flora and fauna of Finland.
Fishing is part of Finnish customs. In line with the tradition, Finland offers guides to fishing for novices and tourists. The fishing camps are scattered all over the country and most of them are perfect fishing tournaments sites because of their intricate and challenging natural structures.
Finland has 180,000 lakes that form a stretch of coast that branches into numerous rivers. The most recommended fishing sites are Lapland and Archipelago rivers. Both have plentiful supply of salmon, pike, and trout. When it comes to fly fishing, the guides commend Central Finland.
So, if you want to learn fishing while taking a vacation, I suggest that you travel as far as Finland. It's worth spending the whole traveling from one fishing camp to another while enjoying Finland's natural beauty and discovering it's rich marine life. Although it's considered as a 'non formal' teaching, tourists will soon realize that they already learned a lot from mini-demonstrations and small talks with the guides.

If you think Iceland only has glaciers, snow-peaked mountains, geysers, volcanoes, and waterfalls to offer the tourists, then check out the Iceland horses. It is true that from afar, Iceland looks like a vast land covered with snow, but in its forest lands, the horses live on green and rich pastures. The edges of the country are still not tampered by men and this is the exact place where the horses await the riders.
The horses are exclusively bred and are well-trained to provide enjoyable ride. They are friendly and calm so riders will be comfortable once mounted on them. The gaits of the horses provide smooth travel even though some of the terrains are ragged. I have already seen Icelandic horses and they are not like the ones we see in tournaments. If I am not mistaken, they come from the breed of Viking horses and appear to be gentler.
Horse riding allows tourists to explore the inaccessible places in Iceland. I am not into a horse riding holiday, but since the tour lets the guest discover the unspoiled parts of Iceland, I thought that the tour gives us the opportunity to appreciate Mother nature and to see the natural beauty of Iceland.

If you are thinking of a very remarkable Greenland vacation, then I suggest that you check-in at Hotel Igloo. No fancy, you are definitely going to like this. Although I have not been to the hotel, the advertisements on the Internet seem very interesting. The look of the hotel alone is amazing. Just imagine spending the night under the north pole skies while being sheltered by a massive architectural structure made of solid ice.
All in all, the igloo hotel is composed of six professionally designed igloos. Four of them can accommodate at least two persons. The remaining two igloos serve as connection to the pairs of igloos. Apparently, it is open only from December to April. It is, needless to say, that when the long winter season is finally over, the igloos, melt under the bright sun. Construction of the hotel probably proceeds after at least eight months.
Anyway, if you are planning to stay at least overnight in this cold hotel, be prepared because it will cost you at least $86 or equivalent to 495 Kroner. But, it is worth it because included in the package are breakfast and sleeping bag. The temperature inside is 20 C lower than outside, but the air inside is fresh so guests will not experience choking or anything akin to that. The amenities of the hotel include a bar that has ice glasses and a hallway or museum of ice carvings sculpted by Abrahamsen.

Hey, I love traveling, and if you dare ask me if I would like to tour the Arctic Circle, my answer would be a resounding yes. Why not? I know, the place seems very desolate, but it is still a privilege to tour this great pole of ice. Just imagine how cold that will get. However, I know that you are still unconvinced, so here is a very inviting tour package should you like to try traveling to the Arctics.
The whole package requires at least 19 days of city by city pilgrimage. That would be very tiring, but most of the modes of transportation are by plane. The main goal of the tour is to give the travelers a big picture of the Arctics. The flight starts in Denmark and resumes to a round trip that will definitely cause tourists jet lag. I guess I can handle that. Besides, it also includes free meals and a lot of sightseeing events.
Yeah, the apparent global warming these days has really affected the Arctics, but do not worry, there is no flood yet. So I suggest that you jump on this opportunity before the ice have melt. As for me, I am still preparing myself. Aside from getting ready with the necessary winter equipment, I will have to develop a positive attitude over cold weather, which is what I hate the most.

When I finally arrived from a three-day trip to Copenhagen, a friend of mine greeted me with a very peculiar inquiry: "Cobblestones, right?" I was taken aback when he mentioned the first word. Then, I remembered that Copenhagen could be easily distinguished from other Scandinavian cities all because its streets are made with cobblestones.
Copenhagen is a showcase of farms, clear lakes, and beaches. All of which are very pleasant to the eyes and very relaxing. The entire city is surrounded with all sorts of fruit and vegetable farms, while the houses that cuddle in the selected areas of the Copenhagen are very noticeable because they, for roofs, blue and red tiles. Also, flying storks are very usual in this side of Denmark. They even build their nests of the rooftops. On the farther side of Copenhagen, windmills could be spotted.
Danes hail Copenhagen as the industry capital of Denmark. No wonder, the city is boasting with sophisticated business buildings are government establishments. Although Copenhagen admitted to have a poor resources, the people here have managed to produce as much products as they could to be able to export them to neighboring countries. That way, they were able to support their industry. Also, it is the leading manufacturer of butter, bacon, cheese, furniture, silverware, and porcelain. No wonder, famous interior designers huddle in Copenhagen for some of the finest furniture.

You heard me right, whales do swim around Iceland, in the shores of Iceland's coastlines, you would spot the whales in their most natural state. You may think that this has become a commercial destination and tour in Iceland, although many people go to the different coastline sites just to see the whales, the sites have remained subdued and non-commercial.
Whale-watching has become a favorite past-time for the locals and the tourists in Iceland, from the Midwest coast to the north coasts of Iceland, you would see so many whales, it's like you're fishing for whales and not for fish! The whales that you would often see in Iceland's coastlines are the killer whales, Porpoise whales and the mink whales, if you're on a boat, there are some playful Killer whales who would leap so nearly to your boats that it's awe-inspiring! This is one Iceland trip for the family, something that you'll never forget!

The Golden Falls or Gullfoss is literally the most beautiful and the most photographed waterfalls in Iceland. It's also the most powerful waterfalls in the whole of Europe. The Golden Falls falls into two cascading parts and falls down into 32 meters from the mouth of glacial river
Hvita. The waterfalls is a truly glorious sight, with all the rainbows casted over the moving rapids of the waterfalls.
It is a magnificent scenery, indeed. The Iceland government was supposed to build a powerplant near the waterfalls but a local had threatened to jump into the waterfalls. The people supported her and the government had made the Golden Falls area a national park instead. Now, tourists have been coming here to see the gold pot at the end of the rainbow, and they saw the gold, alright, they saw Gullfoss.

Norway's Bergen railway is one of the world's most beautiful railways and it really is. Up in Fjord, Norway, you can see the heavenly view of Norway's green mountains covered in whites specks of snow. The route on the Bergen railway is from the Flam railway, all the way to the Aurlandsfjord, slowly down to Stalheimskleiva road.
You will see world's majestic mountaintops and the shimmering water coming down from the mountain's waterfalls. The route of the Bergen railway has a lot of twists and turns, it's going to be the ride of your life. You better bring your digital camera to believe that you've actually travelled in Norway.

Scandinavia's unique natural features constantly captivate tourists to explore what its respective countries have to offer. Many agencies have several tour packages and independent itineraries to Scandinavia's popular destinations that tourists could choose from. One travel option could be focused on Scandinavian capitals such as Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm. Another package could include the best of Norway or the best Sweden, or a combination of Norway and London travel. If you can't get enough of Scandinavia, you can create your own itinerary and decide on Denmark, Sweden and Norway attractions.
